The Last Supper ..@ La Maison de Pierre Olonzac

Our time at Olonzac is drawing to a close and tomorrow Alex is leaving to fly back to Australia. A dinner is planned with some fine French wine.


The fare is 


  • oysters, smoked salmon on blinis with lemon hollandaise, foie gras with a onion jam.
  • very large prawns flamed in whisky with scollops in a cream sauce on tagliatelli.
  • rare roast beef with Margie's 3 day demi-glaze, potato & pumpkin cake and baby carrots
  • assorted local cheeses
  • tart tartin with ice cream

The wines are


  • Carpe Diem Champagne ( we bought this in Reims)
  • 2007 Joseph Drouhin Puligny Montrachet
  • 2008 Nuits St Georges "Les St Georges"
  • 2006 Chateau Talbot St Julian
  • 2006 Barsac  "Crypres de Climens"

the pictures will tell the story. Unfortunately as the night wore we forgot about the camera.....and a lot of other things as well.
