Tassie Revisited......again
"Australian Lawyers Alliance National Conference is an excuse for another fleeting visit to the Apple Isle..and again it doesn't dissapoint"
Thursday lunchtime Rex flight out of Albury and I'm off to my 20th ALA National Conference, this year in Hobart.
Drop off at our accommodation,Gattonside, on Sandy Bay Rd at Battery Point. Lovely B&B, great room, 4 poster bed & complete with canopy and bathroom and spa that you could't beat in a 5 Star Hotel. No time now to enjoy this the welcome cocktails are being poured.
The Welcome Cocktails are at the Cascade Brewery Visitors Centre across the road from the original brewery built in 1825. Good to see those early settlers had their priorities in order. Actually the cocktails are absent but there is plenty of great beer and local wine to wash down the tastey nibbles. Some are heading off for dinner then but I'm just wanting to try out that 4 poster bed. "Travels a curse".
